Westminster Williamson Voices Treble Ensemble, with composer and conductor Tom T. Shelton, Jr., present the culmination of a spring semester project.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
For three months choir members composed poetry reflecting their thoughts, feelings, and emotions dealing with the pandemic. Professor Tom T. Shelton, Jr. composed music to accompany each poem; some of which included instrumental parts for flute, clarinet, violin; which the students volunteered to play with the singers.
This is a recording of the powerful performance that was was live-streamed from Gill Chapel following COVID-19 safety protocols.
Reflecting on the impact the project had on everyone involved in its creation, Professor Shelton has written:

There’s a new hope that can wash out this suffering,
A ray of light, shining on my face.
Smiles no more on the screen.
We join our hands together, feeling joy unlike before!
